Why is Brand Important?

A consistent brand builds recognition, trust, and credibility. It shapes perceptions, influences how the district is viewed in terms of academic excellence, inclusivity, and innovation, and can even impact student enrollment, partnerships, and funding opportunities. When a brand is consistent in its messaging, visual identity, and tone, it becomes easily recognizable, allowing audiences to form clear associations with its values and offerings. For organizations like school districts, it ensures that every communication, from websites to newsletters, reinforces the district’s mission, culture, and commitment to excellence.

How to Use the Branding Guide

The Onalaska High School logo features a fierce bobcat mascot with sharp claws extended.

The Onalaska Independent School District brand is an expression of who we are, what we stand for and what kind of impact we want to make on our community and beyond. Use these guidelines to ensure our brand is communicated consistently across print, digital and social media. We recommend all parties using any part of the OISD brand identify, including our logo, artwork, color palette and typography, meet the standards outlined in the guide.
